The company was originally formed in 1980 as Automation
Accessories Co. In 1990 the company had expanded well beyond the
welding industry and was incorporated. In 1994 50% of the
company was sold to Robert Brown (present CEO) and the name of
the company was changed to Brown & Rogers Automation. Two years
later in 1996 the business was moved to the Darlington County
Jetport. In 1999 a regional sales office was opened in
Cottonwood Arizona at the request of ABB, Inc. In 2001 the
company was split into two separate entities in order to better
serve and respond to individual market niches. Integrated
Systems, Inc. is focused on robotic systems, tooling and
controls, for all types of applications, including welding,
laser cutting, machine tending and material handling.
